In February 1986, members of Delta Rho Omega chapter formed a corporation: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority/DRO Chapter Community Service Program, Inc. a 501(c)3 not-for-profit entity. In September 2007 the name was changed to the Ivy Rose Foundation, Inc. Despite the name change, the mission remains the same:

To provide and promote educational and cultural activities for the communities in and around the borough of Brooklyn

To stimulate interest and create an awareness of the need to elevate the quality of life for the disadvantaged in this community

To conduct or sponsor public forums at which lectures and discussion on human needs and services are presented to the general public

To provide awards and grants, including scholarships and fellowships to deserving individuals and

To do any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof but not for the pecuniary profit or financial gain of its members, directors or officers except under Article 5 of the not-for-profit law.
